Major Malfunction

Major Malfunction is back at Mic Drop Comedy on Sunday, October 11, and again on Sunday, November 29. It's a female-led standup showcase that puts San Diego's funniest women comics on stage, held together by a male host who's joined by the occasional surprise pop-in. The show is produced by Diana Puig and Cheryl Sonstein.

The hook is right there in the name: the comics lean into their biggest and boldest malfunctions. They're talking about career chaos, dating disasters, and wardrobe malfunctions — the kind of things the producers describe as the sort of stuff that bonds us all. It's a night built around the moments that usually go wrong, told by the women who lived through them.

Both dates are in the Gold Room at Mic Drop Comedy, with the show starting at 6 PM. It's for ages 21 and over, so keep that in mind if you're planning a night out with a group.
