Lost Temple Tavern Pop-Up

LandShark Bar & Grill at the Margaritaville Hotel San Diego has spent the last few weeks playing a part. For the Halloween season, the Gaslamp spot transforms into the Lost Temple Tavern, a haunted jungle pop-up they describe as an abandoned tropical outpost overtaken by twisted vines, ancient relics and mysterious forces. It's a full-on overhaul of the space: overgrown jungle greenery, shipwrecked skeletons, cursed castaways and eerie photo opportunities, with interactive elements running throughout the month. If you've been by recently, you've probably noticed the decor is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

The drinks menu leans into the theme, too. There's the rum-based Lost Soul Punch, the black-agave Black Bat, the Rigor Mortis and the Bloody Ghost Skull Shot. All ages are welcome, and guests are encouraged to arrive in costume, so it's as much a place to show off a costume as it is to grab a drink. If you're planning to RSVP via Eventbrite, just keep in mind that it's for the guest list only and doesn't reserve a table or seat.

On the calendar, the pop-up runs from October 10 through October 31, open daily from 7 AM until close. Friday and Saturday evenings bring in a live DJ starting at 7:30 PM, and on Halloween night, a Witch Doctor appears from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
