A curated makers market celebrating the Philippines with 28 Filipino and Filipino American creatives, held at the Mingei International Museum.
Golden Guide Market is coming to the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11. It's a curated makers market celebrating the Philippines, and this time around it's called Merkado Kultura.
The number that really puts it in perspective is 28. That's how many Filipino and Filipino American creatives are bringing their work to the museum over the weekend. When you see that many makers in one room, it stops being a few scattered tables and starts feeling like a proper market. You'll find a wide range of work from the community, all gathered under one roof in the heart of Balboa Park.
It's held in the La Atalaya Foundation Theater inside the museum, so you're in a space that's built for this kind of thing. The market runs both days, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. If you can't make it Saturday, you've got the same window on Sunday to catch it.

And here's the best part: it's free and open to the public. You don't need a ticket or a reservation to walk in. If you've been wanting to see more Filipino and Filipino American makers in the city, this is a good place to start. It's two full days, 10 AM to 5 PM, at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park.
