DJ Ferno (Spice Trade Tour)

DJ Ferno is playing Quartyard on Friday, October 9, as part of his Spice Trade Tour. He's not coming alone: Kahani, Indo Warehouse, and MNTRA are on the bill with him, so it's a full night of DJ sets rather than just one headliner. The music starts at 4 PM, which is early for a dance floor, so you can get your dancing in well before the night is over.

If you're not familiar with Ferno, he's a Philadelphia native now based in Austin, a DJ and producer who describes his approach as storytelling through music. He first made a name for himself around 2011, when he connected with hometown legend DJ Jazzy Jeff and played a key role in the Vinyl Destination travelogue series. From there, he took his sound global, playing dates from Dubai to Europe.

Over the years, his sound has shifted toward house and techno. That transition came together in 2020 with Watching You, released on Exemplary Music Makerz, which caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Kenny Dope and A-Trak. In 2023, he stepped further into the business side of things by founding his own record label, BARAZA MUSIQ.

So, the lineup is DJ Ferno leading the Spice Trade Tour, with Kahani, Indo Warehouse, and MNTRA filling out the bill. It all goes down at Quartyard, 1301 Market St, in San Diego, starting Friday, October 9, at 4 PM.
