Live band karaoke night where the audience sings along with the band, covering pop-punk and emo favourites, with an opening DJ set.
Death Cab For Karaoke is back at Soda Bar on Saturday, October 10, for another night of live band karaoke. If you've never seen them, it's a San Diego-based project that flips the usual karaoke setup on its head: instead of singing from a table, you front the band on stage. The song list is posted before the show, so you can pick your track and be ready when it's your turn.
The whole night is built around a curated set of pop-punk and emo favorites, with the crowd taking turns singing onstage alongside the live band. This particular date is billed as a themed showdown—Taking Back Sunday vs Brand New—so the set will lean into those two bands. If you grew up on early-2000s emo, you'll recognize the songs, and you'll be the one singing them.

Last Night Ride opens the night with a DJ set before the karaoke kicks off. The show starts at 8 PM, and tickets are $15. One thing to keep in mind: this is an over-21s only event, so bring your ID. Soda Bar is at 3615 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego.
