A theatrical adaptation of the Emmy-winning children's series Bluey, featuring puppets and new music by Joff Bush, suitable for the whole family.
Bluey's Big Play comes to the Balboa Theatre in San Diego for a short run from Friday, November 13, through Sunday, November 15, 2026. It's a stage adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's series Bluey, brought to life with puppets and sets. The story follows the Heeler family—Bluey, her little sister Bingo, their mum Chilli, and their dad Bandit—as they pull out every game and bit of cleverness they can to get Dad off the bean bag. It's the Heelers' first live theatre show made just for the audience, and it runs for about 50 minutes with no interval, so it's a good length for families with younger kids.
The production was created by the series' writer Joe Brumm, with original stage music by composer Joff Bush. It's presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co, and it's touring Australia, the US, the UK, and Ireland with dates throughout 2026 and 2027. The show is billed as suitable for the whole family, so it's as much for the parents as it is for the kids.
