A concert featuring former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin alongside Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio, performing the music of King Crimson's 1980s albums.
BEAT plays the San Diego Civic Theatre on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The lineup brings together Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, and Terry Bozzio to perform the music of King Crimson.
Belew and Levin were both members of King Crimson, and they're joined here by guitarist Steve Vai and drummer Terry Bozzio. The set focuses on three King Crimson albums from the 1980s: Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. Rather than recreating the original recordings note for note, the group brings that music to life with the spirit, precision, and adventurousness that made it so enduring. It's a chance to hear those records played by a band that knows the material from the inside.
This isn't a small run. The tour has played more than 100 shows across North and South America, Europe, and Japan, and it's billed as the final North American tour. If you've been meaning to catch them, this is one of the last opportunities to do it on this side of the Atlantic.
