Indie rock band Ax and the Hatchetmen perform on their Late Checkout Tour 2026, with support from The Rare Occasions at the Music Box venue.
Ax and the Hatchetmen play Music Box on Sunday, October 25, as part of their Late Check Out Tour. They're bringing along The Rare Occasions to open the bill.
Ax and the Hatchetmen are an indie rock six-piece fronted by Axel Ellis. The band formed in high school hallways outside Chicago and has grown into an act with millions of listeners, a following of diehard fans, and nearly a decade of life on the road. This autumn they're touring the US on the Late Check Out Tour, a coast-to-coast run of sunburnt guitars and jangly tunes. The San Diego date is one stop on that run.
Music Box, at 1337 India Street, was founded in the tradition of legendary rooms like San Francisco's The Fillmore and books a mix of nationally celebrated talent, local legends, and up-and-coming acts. It's standing room only unless otherwise noted, and the show is all ages.

Doors open at 7 PM, with the music starting at 8 PM. The bill is Ax and the Hatchetmen with The Rare Occasions.
