Los Angeles band Automatic performs their North America Tour '26 with support from Nuovo Testamento at the Belly Up.
Automatic bring their North America Tour '26 to Belly Up in Solana Beach on Wednesday, October 21. They're an L.A. band that describes their sound as deviant pop, balancing irreverence with sharp political commentary. The set will draw from their third album, Is It Now?, which they recorded with producer Loren Humphrey, who has worked with Cameron Winter, Nice As Fuck, and the Arctic Monkeys. On that record, they aimed to sit alongside artists like A Certain Ratio and Air, and songs like "mq9" and "The Prize" take aim at automated warfare and the political influence of oil.
Opening for them is Nuovo Testamento, a Los Angeles trio. Their 2021 album New Earth was widely considered one of that year's best underground records, and it followed their 2019 Exposure EP on Avant! Records. Between the two, you've got two L.A. acts sharing one bill.
