Thick Crust Comedy

Thick Crust Comedy is back at Tank's Pizza this Thursday, October 15, starting at 8 PM. It's the weekly Thursday night standup that's become a bit of a fixture on the East Side, hosted by Ryan Herrera.

The lineup for this one is a full room. Along with Herrera hosting, you'll see Jymmi Lu, Laura Lott-Manzano, John Abraham, Mitchell McMullen, Mother Daddy, and Christin King. The night doesn't stop at standup, either: musical act J. Nevermore takes the stage, and Champagne Don is on vibes. The lineups change every week, mixing touring headliners with the local scene, so the room feels different each time.

Tank's Pizza itself has been an East Side institution for 15 years, known for its brick-oven crust and cold beer. The show is free to get into, and if you bring a group of four or more and RSVP before the show, they'll bring out a bottle of champagne for the table. Thursday specials run all night: $5 single-topping personal pizzas, $5 Tank's beer, and $20 hookah, with free parking on top of it. It's a good way to spend a Thursday night without spending much to do it.

Thick Crust Comedy runs every Thursday at Tank's Pizza, 902 N. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, TX 78202. This week's show starts at 8 PM.
