Tribute concert night featuring HoneyBunny, Paramás, Blink 210 and Psycho 78 at the historic Stable Hall venue.
Stable Hall is hosting Stable Hall-OWEEN on Thursday, October 29, a tribute night that puts four local bands on the bill, each taking on a different name from the pop-punk and ska world. It's a full slate of covers: HoneyBunny as No Doubt, Paramás as Paramore, Blink 210 as Blink-182, and Psycho 78 as The Misfits. The night is billed as a tribute session, with these local acts fronting the stage as tribute bands rather than playing their own material.
That lineup covers a fair bit of ground across a few decades. You've got the ska-inflected pop of No Doubt and the high-energy pop-punk of Paramore and Blink-182, and then Psycho 78 shifting things toward the horror-punk of The Misfits. Between the four of them, the bill runs from the sunny, danceable side of the 90s and 2000s over to the darker, theatrical edge of punk. If you grew up on those records, you'll recognize the songs; if you didn't, it's a good way to hear them all in one go.
