Stand-up comedy show with René Vaca and That Mexican OT at the Tobin Center.
René Vaca and That Mexican OT are sharing the bill at the H-E-B Performance Hall at the Tobin Center on Sunday, November 29, 2026. It's a pairing that puts a stand-up comedian and a Texas rapper on the same stage, and both have spent the last few years moving from the club circuit into much larger rooms.
Vaca is a 28-year-old comedian, writer, and actor from the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. He dropped out of college to do comedy full-time and has since built a following that puts him on some of the bigger stages in the country. He was one of Netflix's Introducing Comedians for the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Festival and won the 16th annual Stand Up NBC competition. Back in LA, he hosts his own monthly show, LEG DAY, at The Hollywood Laugh Factory, and with more than 2.6 million social media followers, he's touring to sold-out audiences across North America.
That Mexican OT brings the Texas side of the bill. A Bay City rapper who broke out in the summer of 2023, he's already landed several Billboard Hot 100 hits. His collaboration with Paul Wall, "Johnny Dang," went RIAA Gold, and he's known for the slow, warped Texas rap of "Lonestar Luchador" and the mixtape Texas Technician. Between Vaca's stand-up and OT's rap, the night covers two very different ways of working a crowd.
