Carver Youth Matinee: Opera SA Presents Opera a la carte

Opera San Antonio brings Opera a la Carte to the Carver Community Cultural Center on Friday, November 6, for a youth matinee. It's a collaboration between the company and the Carver, which is hosting the performance at 226 North Hackberry Street.

They describe the show as a 'tasting menu' of beloved operatic melodies, colorful characters, and unforgettable stories. Professional singers handle the music, and the whole thing is held together with engaging narration and audience interaction. It's pitched at first-time opera-goers and seasoned fans alike, and they're promising laughter, adventure, soaring melodies, and dramatic moments. The matinee is appropriate for all ages, so it works as a family outing or a way to introduce kids to the art form without needing to know anything about it beforehand.

The performance runs from 11 AM to 12 PM, and doors open at 10 AM, so there's plenty of time to get settled before it starts. Tickets are free for all attendees.
