An intimate evening of violin, song, spoken word, and storytelling with Dr. Nicole Cherry.
Dr. Nicole Cherry brings A Fiddler's Tale to the Little Carver Theatre on Friday, February 19, 2027. It's a one-woman show that mixes violin, song, spoken word, and storytelling, so you'll hear her play as much as you'll hear her talk.
The Little Carver is one of two stages at the Carver Community Cultural Center, which focuses on celebrating diverse cultures from around the world, the nation, and the community, with a particular emphasis on African and African-American heritage. The center does this through artistic presentations, outreach, and educational programs. The two venues it programs serve different roles: the Jo Long Theatre hosts ten to twelve main-stage performances a season, while the Little Carver is home to four Intimate Series events each year, spanning dance, music, and theatre. The center's stated aim is to give students exposure to performers for whom art is a way of life.

A Fiddler's Tale fits right into that Intimate Series. With the violin, singing, and storytelling all coming from one person, it's a small-scale evening rather than a big production. The show is scheduled for Friday, February 19, 2027, at the Little Carver Theatre in San Antonio.
