8th annual hybrid financial empowerment conference with keynotes and more than 25 breakout workshops on money management, investing, budgeting and entrepreneurship.
Women in the Money returns to the Salt Palace Convention Center on October 22 and 23, marking the eighth year of this hybrid financial empowerment conference. It's run by the Utah Financial Empowerment Coalition, a non-profit that works to help Utahns reach financial stability and freedom, alongside the Utah Office of the State Treasurer, with the Utah Department of Financial Institutions as a partner. The event brings together hundreds of women from across the state and pairs them with personal-finance experts, business-resource leaders, and state housing and retirement officials.
Over the two days, the program covers money management, investing, budgeting, entrepreneurship, and financial resilience. The main draw is the lineup of more than 25 breakout workshops, so you can pick the sessions that actually apply to your life rather than sitting through a one-size-fits-all presentation. The keynotes come from Michelle Singletary of The Washington Post, and USU Extension Professors Amanda H. Christensen and Melanie D. Jewkes. Between the sessions, the workshop day also doubles as a networking space for women working toward financial empowerment.
One thing that sets this apart from a typical seminar is what you take home. Attendees leave with downloadable resources, expert-vetted guides, and access to a digital resource library, so the information doesn't just stay in the room. It's a hybrid event, too, meaning you can join from home if you can't make it downtown.
