Witches Night Out: Pumpkin Painting & Bedazzling with Gather Girls

Gather Girls are taking over HK Brewing Co Taproom & Bar on Thursday, October 22, for a Halloween craft night built around pumpkin painting and bedazzling. It's a few days before Halloween, so the timing works if you're looking for a way to get your decorating done with a drink in hand rather than alone at your kitchen table.

Everyone gets their own mini pumpkin to work on, and you can take it in whatever direction you like: cute, spooky, or completely over the top. The Gather Girls community leads the session, so you're not just left to figure it out on your own. The night is pitched as much about getting creative and meeting new girlfriends as it is about the crafts themselves, which is a nice way to frame it—it's less a formal class and more an excuse to hang out and make something.

While you're painting, the full bar stays open to the public, serving cocktails, mocktails, beer, cider, wine, and Han's kombucha, which is brewed in-house at HK. If you're not in the mood for alcohol, the mocktails and kombucha keep you in the mix. It's the kind of setup where you can spend as much time on the pumpkin as you want and as much time talking as you feel like.

Entry is limited to over-21s, and spots are limited, so it's worth grabbing yours early. The night runs from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at HK Brewing Co Taproom & Bar, 370 Aspen Ave, Salt Lake City, and tickets are $40.
