Halloween concert by the Utah Philharmonia Haunted Orchestra, celebrating its 25th anniversary and encouraging audiences to come in costume.
The Utah Philharmonia Haunted Orchestra is back at Libby Gardner Hall on Thursday, Oct 29 and Friday, Oct 30, with both performances starting at 7:30 PM. It's one of the University of Utah's most popular annual events, and this year it's celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Presented by the university's School of Music, the concert is built as a family-friendly evening, and they encourage audiences to come dressed in costume. The Philharmonia isn't playing alone, either: they're joined by voices from the U Chamber Choir, the A Cappella Chorus, and the Opera Workshop, with ballet dancers from the U School of Dance on stage as well. It's a full production, with the orchestra, the choirs, and the dancers all working together rather than taking turns.
