Fast-paced team puzzle race where teams of up to four compete to finish a new puzzle as quickly as possible, with prizes and a national ranking.
Speed Puzzling Night is coming to Scion Cider Bar on October 28, 2026. This event is a team-based puzzle race where the primary goal is to complete a brand-new puzzle faster than the other teams in the room. Itβs a structured competition where the fastest team walks away with a gift certificate from Puzzledly.com. Beyond the local bragging rights, the event is part of a larger framework; every finisher is entered into a national ranking database, allowing participants to see how their speed compares to other teams across the country.
Teams are capped at four members for standard entry. If you have a group of five, you are still welcome to join, though the organizers apply a 10-minute time penalty to account for the extra hands. If you are planning to attend on your own, you don't need to worry about finding a team beforehand. You can purchase a "Puzzle Pairing" ticket, which allows you to be matched with an open team upon arrival. This is a practical way to participate if you are coming solo. Regardless of your team's final time or placement, you get to keep the puzzle you built during the race, which serves as a takeaway from the night.
