A family-friendly yoga session for children ages 3-10 with an adult, led by Jayme Vetz of Emerald Kids Yoga, using stories, games and relaxation techniques.
NHMU Family Yoga is coming to the Natural History Museum of Utah on Sunday, November 29, from 10:15 to 11:15 AM. It's a family-friendly yoga session for children ages 3 to 10, and each child needs to be accompanied by an adult. If you're bringing a group, keep in mind there's a limit of three children per adult.
Jayme Vetz of Emerald Kids Yoga leads the class. She weaves together engaging stories, playful games, and sensory activities, and mixes them with meditation, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation. The goal is to help both the kids and the adults find a bit of focus and flexibility together.
The session is part of the museum's youth and family programming, which runs a wide range of things for different ages: birthday parties, the hands-on Curiosity Club focused on science, technology, engineering, and art, free Family STEAM Explorations, and School Break Mini Camps. All of it is aimed at sparking curiosity and a passion for the natural world.

On the practical side, yoga mats are provided, so you don't need to bring your own. You'll just want to wear comfortable clothing. The class runs from 10:15 to 11:15 AM at the Natural History Museum of Utah, 301 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City.
