Metallica plays Rice-Eccles Stadium with special guests Limp Bizkit and Avatar on its M72 World Tour.
Metallica bring their M72 World Tour to Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, June 19, 2027, with Limp Bizkit and Avatar as special guests. It's the final stop of a North American stadium run that kicks off May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver and works its way through a dozen cities across the American Southwest and Midwest before closing here in Salt Lake City.
This leg follows the band's Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which runs from October 1, 2026, to March 13, 2027. By the time they hit the stadium circuit, the M72 tour will have been on the road since April 2023, with 99 shows across 26 countries and nearly five million people through the gates. The Detroit News called it "a stone-cold stunner of a show," and the Los Angeles Times described it as "as tight and furious as Metallica has sounded in ages."
Limp Bizkit and Avatar are the special guests for the night, so you'll get three bands on one bill. The tour is promoted by Live Nation, and a portion of every ticket goes to All Within My Hands, the band's non-profit founded in 2017. Since then, the foundation has granted $19 million to education, $8.8 million to combat food insecurity, and $6.2 million to disaster relief.
