Annual KRCL fundraising record and CD sale with vinyl, CDs and cassettes on the Spy Hop rooftop, plus a vinyl donation drop-off by appointment.
KRCL is back with its annual Record and CD Sale, and this year it's moved to a new spot: the rooftop at Spy Hop, 208 West 900 South in Salt Lake City. It's a fundraiser that returns every year, three days of crate-digging for anyone who still likes to hold music in their hands. You'll find vinyl, CDs, cassettes and more spread across the roof.
If you're a member of the Hi-Fidelity Club or the Vinyl of the Month Club, the station has added a special sneak preview just for you, so you can get a first look before the general public. All the proceeds go toward powering KRCL 90.9FM, the non-profit community radio station that keeps the city's airwaves open. It's a good chance to pick up some records and support the station at the same time.
And if you've got a collection of your own that's gotten a bit too big, KRCL takes gently-used vinyl donations. They only accept them by appointment, and since it's a non-profit, you might be able to get a tax deduction for what you bring in. It's worth checking in with them if you're looking to clear some shelf space.

The sale runs across three days with different hours each time: Friday, October 23, from 4 PM to 9 PM; Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 4 PM; and Monday, October 26, from 4 PM to 8 PM. That's a late Friday night, a full Saturday, and a shorter Monday evening, so you can pick whichever window works best for you. The whole thing is up on the Spy Hop rooftop at 208 West 900 South.
