The Utah Symphony accompanies the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on screen in a live concert performance.
The Utah Symphony is bringing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to Maurice Abravanel Hall for three nights in early July 2027. The film plays on the big screen while the symphony performs the score live in the hall, so the music you hear comes from the stage rather than the speakers. It's the third installment of the series, and the symphony is playing the whole thing from start to finish.
If you want to make a real evening of it, there's more going on than just the movie. Before the show, you can meet wizarding friends in the lobby of Abravanel Hall, and there's a Harry Potter movie trivia quiz over in the First Tier Room to test how well you actually know the films. The symphony presents this as a Signature performance, and single-performance tickets have been on sale since August 3, 2026.

As for who can come, the general age guideline welcomes anyone five and older, with no babes in arms. If you're running late, keep in mind that late seating is only permitted at an appropriate break or intermission, so it's better to be in your seat before the first note. The performances run Thursday, July 1, Friday, July 2, and Saturday, July 3, 2027, all starting at 7 PM at Maurice Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
