Annual fall festival with live music, local vendors and cider tasting at Mountain West Hard Cider, open to all ages.
Mountain West Hard Cider brings back its Fall Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 24, from 11 AM to 9 PM. It's an all-ages day in the Garten, their outdoor space at 425 N 400 W in downtown Salt Lake City, and it's become a regular October fixture for them.
The day is built around three things: live music, local vendors, and cider. You'll find the cider on tap throughout the day, and the vendors bring in a mix of local makers to browse. Because it's open to all ages, it's as much a family outing as it is a spot to hang out with friends.
There's a collaborative side to the festival that's worth mentioning. You can bring extra apples to add to the cider pot, and the cidery partners with Wasteless Solutions, which gleans trees that need harvesting. It's a small way to get involved in the actual process they're celebrating.

To get a sense of who's behind it, Mountain West Hard Cider bills itself as Utah's Original Craft Cidery. They source local ingredients to make their hard ciders, all of which are available at the cidery in downtown Salt Lake City. They also run the Little Orchard Series, a monthly limited-release cider made with fresh fruit and herbs or botanicals, available fresh on draft, in growlers, or at select partner bars and restaurants.
So, if you're looking for something to do on a Saturday in late October, the Fall Harvest Fest runs from 11 AM to 9 PM at Mountain West Hard Cider, 425 N 400 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
