Industrial, EBM and darkwave project Corpse Dust plays the International Artist Lounge with opening act Mercy Seat.
Corpse Dust plays the International Artist Lounge on Tuesday, October 20, with Mercy Seat opening. The show starts at 8 PM.
Corpse Dust is the solo industrial, EBM, and darkwave project of multi-instrumentalist Nathan Landolt, who also records as Harsh Realm and Secret Shame. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Landolt works across those three monikers, and Corpse Dust is the one that leans hardest into the bleak side of things: bleak noise paired with heavy industrial percussion, brooding synths, and violent screams about the excruciating human experience. It's a project that doesn't hold back on the harsher textures of the industrial tradition.
His album SUFFER is a good place to start if you haven't heard him before. It runs about twenty minutes, and critic Alice Teeple described it as a turning point where severity, style, and emotional collapse meet. That's a fair summary of the soundโit's as much about the mood and the structure as it is about the noise.
