Clap Your Hands Say Yeah play The Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City on their 2027 North American tour to promote their new album 'Burned'.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah play The Urban Lounge on Tuesday, April 20, 2027, as part of their North American tour. It's their first Salt Lake City date in years, and they're bringing a new album with them.
That album is Burned, a ten-track record that comes out January 29 through Ounsworth's own CYHSY label, distributed by Secretly. It's the band's first studio album in more than six years, following 2021's New Fragility. The record was co-produced by frequent collaborator Nick Krill and works through the losses Ounsworth has experienced recently, with the stage in mind. The lead single, "Fever of the Mind," is the track he says guided the rest of the album.
If the name rings a bell, you might remember their self-titled 2005 debut, which got a huge boost from Pitchfork and became a symbol of the site's starmaking powers. These days, frontman Alec Ounsworth is the only core member remaining. He spent 2025 marking that debut's 20th anniversary with a tour and a reissue, and Burned is the first new studio record since New Fragility.
