BYU Men's Basketball opens its 2026-27 season against Ohio State at the Delta Center on Monday, November 2, at 7 PM. It's a non-conference matchup, and it's the Cougars' second straight season playing two such games at the venue. They went 2-0 there last year, which included a 28-point win over No. 23 Wisconsin.
This is a long-overdue reunion. BYU and Ohio State are 3-4 all-time against each other, and they haven't met since December 29, 1997, at the Rainbow Classic, when BYU won 72-65. That's nearly three decades since the last time these two programs shared a court.
There's a lot new to watch this season. Head coach Kevin Young is in his first year, running a high-octane offense. This game also marks the first time he's facing in-state opponents in non-conference play during his tenure. The Cougars are entering the campaign eyeing a Big 12 title and a deep NCAA Tournament run, led by point guard Robert Wright III, five-star wing Bruce Branch III, and center Jaxon Kohler.

If you can't make it to the Delta Center, the game will air on FS1. Much of the season will be on national television, with the rest on streaming services like ESPN+. Tip-off is at 7 PM.
