Weekly Sunday LEGO building session at Scion Cider Bar, free and open to adults 21 and over.
Bricks & Brix is back at Scion Cider Bar on Tuesday, October 27, as part of their LEGO Sundays series. The whole thing runs on Sundays from September 27 through November 29, from 12 PM to 10 PM, so if you miss this one, you've got plenty of other dates to work with throughout the fall.
The setup is simple: you spend the afternoon building with LEGO in the taproom. There's no prompt or competition, just a table and a bunch of bricks. You can work on something small or spend a few hours on a larger project, and you're welcome to stay as long as you like. It's the kind of thing that's easy to lose a whole afternoon to.
While you build, you can sip on craft ciders. The name Bricks & Brix is a play on the two: LEGO bricks on one hand, and Brix on the other, which is the measure of sugar in a beverage. Scion's ciders vary in Brix levels, so you can pick something that fits your taste. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Sunday—building something with your hands while you drink.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you head over. The event is for over-21s only, and you'll need a valid ID at the door. Parking is available on Jefferson Street and 900 South, just a few steps from the 900 S TRAX stop, so it's easy to get to whether you're driving or taking the train. Entry is free, and the taproom is open from 12 PM to 10 PM.
