Formal fundraising gala by Beta Theta Pi's Gamma Beta Chapter to support the Rape Recovery Center and survivors of sexual assault.
Beta Theta Pi's Gamma Beta Chapter is hosting the Blue Tie Gala 2026 on Thursday, October 22, at the Ken Garff Club at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It's a formal fundraiser that brings together students, alumni, community members, and local businesses for an evening dedicated to survivors of sexual assault.
The night is the signature philanthropy of the Gamma Beta Chapter at the University of Utah, and every dollar raised goes to the Rape Recovery Center. The Center is a nonprofit that provides free, confidential services to survivors of sexual violence, including advocacy, therapy, crisis intervention, and prevention education. The gala is as much about raising funds as it is about raising awareness, with the evening focused on promoting empathy, prevention, and a culture of support.
Beta Theta Pi itself dates back to 1839, making it one of North America's oldest and largest fraternities. The organization describes its foundation as being built on mutual assistance, intellectual growth, trust, responsible conduct, and personal integrity.
