Free-flight demonstration of the Aviary's Ambassador Birds flown overhead, held daily at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park is running its Ambassador Bird Demonstration today, Sunday, October 18, as part of its daily schedule. The birds are the Aviary's free-flight flock, and the demonstration is built around watching them fly overhead. It's a good way to see them in action rather than just catching a glimpse of them as you walk through the grounds.
Beyond the scheduled shows, you'll find the Ambassador Birds roaming the exhibits throughout the day. They share the space with Roseate Spoonbills, American Crows, Turkey Vultures, Kea, Ravens, and Green-winged Macaws, so if you're spending the whole afternoon there, you'll likely run into them even when they aren't performing. The demonstration just gives you a specific time and place to see them do their thing.
If you're bringing kids, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Children need to be accompanied by an adult and able to stay seated for the duration of the show. Since the location can shift, it's a good idea to check in with Guest Services when you arrive to find out exactly where the demonstration is happening that day.

The demonstration runs twice daily, at 11 AM and 1:30 PM. It's free and included in the price of general admission, so once you're inside the Aviary, there's no extra cost to catch it.
