New Year's Eve festival with Post Malone and Alesso, a Utah Jazz game against the New York Knicks and the 2027 NHL Winter Classic.
Post Malone headlines the New Year's Eve Festival at the Delta Center on December 31, 2026, with house and EDM producer Alesso as special guest. It's the final night of Smith Entertainment Group's Winter Weekend, a four-day run of sports and entertainment that puts a lot of events into one stretch of the calendar. Malone, who's moved from rap into country, takes the top bill for the New Year's Eve show, and Alesso opens for him.
The concert follows the 2027 NHL Winter Classic, which happens earlier that same day. The Classic pits the Utah Mammoth against the Colorado Avalanche at Rice-Eccles Stadium, so if you're following the whole weekend, you'll be at the stadium for hockey and then at the Delta Center for the music.
That's just one part of the larger schedule. The weekend kicks off on December 30 with a Utah Jazz game against the New York Knicks. After the Winter Classic on the 31st and the Post Malone show that night, the run wraps up on January 1 with another Jazz game, this time against the Boston Celtics. In total, it's two NBA games, one NHL game, and one concert over four days.

Smith Entertainment Group chairman and CEO Ryan Smith said the group wanted to "create a weekend unlike anything Utah has experienced before" and turn the state into a New Year's Eve destination. Tickets for the Post Malone show are less than $125.
