Day 1 of the 2026 Utah High School Football Semifinals with 6A and 4A semifinal games at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Rice-Eccles Stadium is hosting the first day of the 2026 Utah High School Football Semifinals on Thursday, November 12. It's the start of the state's playoff run, and this particular day brings together two of the biggest classifications in the state: 6A and 4A. If you've been following the season, this is where the field really narrows down.
There are three games scheduled throughout the day, so you can catch one or settle in for the whole stretch. The first kicks off at 11 AM, the second follows at 2:30 PM, and the third goes late at 6 PM. With the 6A and 4A semifinals both on the bill, you'll see some of the top programs in the state fighting for a spot in the championship. Since it's a semifinal round, every game is a winner-take-allβthe teams that win here move on to the finals, and the ones that don't are out.
Having it all at Rice-Eccles makes it easy to stay for more than one game without moving your car. If you're only coming for one, the 11 AM start is a good way to spend a Thursday morning, and the 6 PM game lets you catch the action after work. If you're into the high school football scene here, it's a solid day of football in one place.
