Singer-songwriter Yebba performs live at The Ritz in Raleigh, bringing her gospel-influenced R&B sound to the stage.
Yebba plays The Ritz in Midtown Raleigh on Sunday, November 8, 2026. She's the only name on the bill, so the whole night belongs to her.
If you've come across her name but aren't sure where she fits, the short version is that she's a singer and songwriter whose voice has become one of the most respected in contemporary music. She grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas, and built her vocal foundation in church, which you can still hear in the way she handles a melody. For a few years, she was mostly known as a collaborator, appearing on tracks with artists like Ed Sheeran, PJ Morton, Drake, A$AP Rocky and Mark Ronson.
Her debut album, Dawn, came out in 2021 and established her as a songwriter who isn't afraid to lean into grief and turn it into something transcendent. Her second album, Jean, is named for her late grandmother and took five years to write across Arkansas, Dallas and New York. It works through themes of love, rage and healing, and stays rooted in the gospel conviction and emotional honesty that first made her voice so hard to mistake. Between the two records, there's a clear line from the church singing of her youth to the songwriting she's doing now.
