A nationally touring tribute band faithfully recreates the classic Jerry Garcia Band with historically accurate performances spanning 1976 to 1995.
The Garcia Project plays the Lincoln Theatre on Thursday, November 5, 2026. They're a touring tribute that's spent more than 15 years recreating the Jerry Garcia Band, and they don't just play the hits. The shows are built from actual setlists spanning 1976 to 1995, so you're hearing the songs in the order and combination Garcia himself would have played them. Fans call it a 'Jerry Garcia Band Time Machine' for that reason.
There are a couple of connections to the original band that give the project some weight. Jackie LaBranch sang in the Jerry Garcia Band from 1982 to 1995, and she says these shows remind her of what it felt like to sing those songs with Garcia himself. Dennis McNally, who was a publicist for both the Jerry Garcia Band and the Grateful Dead, has noted that it sometimes feels like being back at the Warfield in 1992. If you've spent time with those recordings, that's exactly the kind of thing they're aiming for.
