A social 5-mile run from The Bike Library to Lake Raleigh, with coffee and pastries afterwards.
The Bike Library kicks off its Sunday Run Club on October 11, and it's a series that keeps going through December 6. Every Sunday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, the group sets out from the shop for a five-mile round trip that takes you from downtown out to Lake Raleigh and back. It's a social run rather than a competitive one, held at a 10-11 minute per mile pace, so you'll have plenty of room to talk while you move.
The run starts and ends at The Bike Library, located at 600 W Cabarrus St, Ste 113, in the Warehouse District. The shop is a bicycle and coffee spot that sells, repairs, and rents bikes, and it accepts the Downtown Raleigh Gift Card. The run itself is free, and the whole thing is designed as much for the conversation as for the miles.

Once you're back at the shop, the social side really takes over: there's coffee and pastries at the cafe to wind down with. It's a good way to get some miles in on a Sunday morning without the pressure of a race, and you'll have a place to hang out afterward. The run runs every Sunday from October 11 through December 6, 9:00 to 10:30 AM, starting from The Bike Library at 600 W Cabarrus St, Ste 113, in downtown Raleigh.
