Silverada, formerly Mike and the Moonpies, performs live with The Pink Stones at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh as part of the Living Proof Tour.
Silverada are playing the Lincoln Theatre on Tuesday, October 13, as part of their Living Proof Tour. They're sharing the bill with The Pink Stones, a cosmic country group from Athens, Georgia, that blends sixties twang with psychedelic rock. The two bands tour together frequently, so this is a familiar pairing.
Silverada is a neotraditional country and Americana band from Austin, Texas, founded by Mike Harmeier. If the name doesn't ring a bell, it's because they were known as Mike and the Moonpies until 2024. The rebrand marked a shift in sound: they moved away from their dance-hall roots toward something more refined, and they now describe their music as something to crank up loud in the truck on a Friday afternoon. The current lineup is Mike Harmeier on vocals, Catlin Rutherford on guitar, Omar Oyoque on bass, Parker Twomey on keys, and Taylor Englert on drums.
That makes for a full band on stage—five players for a sound that sits in the neotraditional country and Americana camp, with the Pink Stones adding a psychedelic edge to the night. The Raleigh date is one stop on the Living Proof Tour, which they're taking across the country.
