Concert by Scarlet Tantrum as part of the 19th annual InterAct of Wake County benefit, featuring local North Carolina talent.
Scarlet Tantrum headlines Tap Yard on Saturday, October 10, as part of a day-long benefit for InterAct of Wake County. It's the 19th annual edition of the fundraiser, organized by NCLOCALMUSIC, and it's built around a family-friendly afternoon that pairs live music with food, face painting, local art, live animal education, and prizes. The music runs from 12 PM to 5 PM, so it's more of a daytime hang than a late-night show.
The bill stays close to home, with four North Carolina acts taking the stage. Vibration Theory is a progressive hard rock band from Raleigh. Grace Lucia is an independent rock artist also from the city, who writes and performs her own songs across the East Coast. Scarlet Tantrum is a 21-year-old emerging artist from rural Carthage who blends today's pop with yesterday's rock. And LaureNicole is an emotional alt-rock band with a 90s flare, Cranberries grit and Alanis honesty. Between them, you'll get a full afternoon of music that leans hard into the rock side of things, from progressive and alt-rock to pop-rock.
Because it's a benefit, the music is only one part of the day. The face painting, local art, and animal education are there alongside the food and prizes, and the whole thing is geared toward families, so it's the kind of event you can bring kids to. The proceeds go to InterAct, a Wake County organization that works with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
