Prisoner, Circle Breaker and Cyprian

Prisoner are playing Chapel of Bones on Sunday, October 11, with Circle Breaker and Cyprian on the bill. It's a three-band night that pulls from two cities: Prisoner and Circle Breaker are both coming in from Richmond, and Cyprian is a Raleigh act, so the local side of the bill is holding its own. The whole thing starts at 7 PM.

Prisoner describes their sound as an abrasive blend of industrial, noise, extreme metal, and punk, and they frame the live show as a harsh, intense experience. It's the kind of set that doesn't lean on one genre, but rather pulls from a few different heavy corners at once. Circle Breaker, also from Richmond, channels queer fury through aggressive sound and lyrics, and they'll be playing material from their EP Axe of Service. Then there's Cyprian, the Raleigh band on the bill, who brings a feral take on metal punk to the mix. Put them together and you've got a night of raw, uncompromising heavy music.

If you're planning to go, it's worth knowing the venue's address: Chapel of Bones is at 658 Maywood Ave., Ste. B 110, West Raleigh, Raleigh, NC 27603. Tickets are $15.56 in advance and $17.96 at the door, so grabbing them early saves you a couple of dollars. The show starts at 7 PM.
