A creative art night where visitors can create art with provided supplies every Monday at 5pm.
Le Corbeau Caché is an art night that runs every Monday at 5 PM at Charlie Bar, 16 E. Hargett St. in downtown Raleigh. The whole thing is run by the Raleigh Times Bar, and the premise is straightforward: the bar transforms into a parlour of creative escape for the evening. You can bring along a project you're already working on, or if you show up empty-handed, you can borrow from the supplies they keep on site. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Monday evening making something, whether you're halfway through a sketch or just starting from scratch.
One of the better parts of the night is that it's built on a cycle of sharing. The session welcomes donations of old art supplies, so if you have a stash of materials you no longer use, you can bring them in and give them a second life on someone else's page. It turns the night into a bit of a community exchange—your old brushes or paints might end up in the hands of someone who's just getting started.
Because it's a recurring thing, you don't have to worry about timing it perfectly. If you miss one Monday, there's another the following week. It's less of a one-off event and more of a regular spot to drop in when you've got a project on your mind and want a place to work on it. The session starts at 5 PM, so it works as an after-work wind-down or a slow start to your evening.
