Free live jazz concert series with food trucks and drinks at Moore Square in Downtown Raleigh.
Jasmine Best & The Jazz Xperiment play Moore Square on Thursday, October 15, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's part of Jazz in the Square, the free concert series the Downtown Raleigh Alliance puts on throughout the year, bringing live jazz by local musicians to the heart of downtown. Every show in the series is free and open to all ages.
This particular date was rescheduled from August 27 due to bad weather, so if you'd marked it down for late summer, it's back on the calendar for mid-October. The music is the main draw, but there's more to the evening than just the set: food trucks will be on-site working alongside the music, and wine and beer are available for purchase. Because the show runs into the evening, the organizers suggest bringing blankets and chairs to settle in as the sun sets over the park. Dogs are welcome, though they have to stay on a leash per City of Raleigh rules.
