A 50-minute guided walking tour exploring backstage corridors and performance spaces, featuring behind-the-scenes theatre stories, local ghost lore and the building's history, with access to The Lounge.
Curtain Call From Beyond is running at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium through October 29, a guided walking tour that takes you behind the scenes of the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. It's a 50-minute tour that leads guests through backstage corridors and performance spaces—the kind of areas usually off-limits to the public—where you'll hear behind-the-scenes theatre stories, local ghost lore, and the building's own history. If you've spent any time in the city's theatre scene, it's a chance to see the inner workings of one of our main stages.
Your ticket doesn't stop at the tour, either. It also gets you into The Lounge, the center's hospitality space, which is known for its gothic-inspired décor, candlelight, and moody touches. You'll get one signature drink per person while you're there, so you can hang out in that atmosphere before or after you walk the halls. The tour is recommended for ages 12 and up, and accessible routes are offered on select dates.

The tour runs from September 27 through October 29, so you've got plenty of dates to choose from. From October 20 onward, the times are 6:30 to 8 PM on Tuesday through Thursday and 7 to 8 PM on Sunday and Monday. Doors open 30 minutes before each showing, so you have a bit of a window to get settled before the tour starts. If you're looking for something to do in Raleigh this fall, this is a good way to see the Memorial Auditorium from the inside.
