North Carolina rock, pop, funk and improvisation six-piece Big Something performs at the Lincoln Theatre with support from Jacoozy.
BIG Something play the Lincoln Theatre on Wednesday, December 30, 2026, starting at 7 PM. They're a six-piece from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, so this is a home-state show for them, just a few hours' drive from where they started.
If you haven't caught them before, they describe their sound as a mix of rock, pop, funk and improvisation. The core is built around soaring guitars, an electronic wind instrument, synths, horns and vocal hooks, and with six people on stage, there's a lot of ground they can cover in a single set. They've spent years playing the Southeast, and that's where they've caught the attention of some big names in the jam and rock scenes. Umphrey's McGee, Moon Taxi, Galactic, moe., Robert Randolph and The B52s have all had them open for them.
The lineup on stage is Jesse Hensley, Josh Kagel, Ben Vinograd, Matt Laird, Nick MacDaniels and Casey Cranford. They're not playing alone, either. The show is part of a run of dates with a rotating opener: 65 North Pickers played Wednesday, Michael Wilbur took Thursday, Wolph had Friday, and Jacoozy is the one opening for them on this Saturday night. So if you're coming for the main act, you'll get Jacoozy to warm things up first.
