A mind-body experience combining vinyasa yoga, breathwork, asana and meditation with live music from The Bossard String Quartet in a candlelit setting.
Yoga by Candlelight with String Quartet comes to Staggeringly Good Brewery on Friday 18 September, with the session running from 6:45pm to 9:00pm. It's a collaboration that puts a yoga teacher, Alex, and The Bossard String Quartet in the same room, with the brewery's candlelit space as the backdrop. The night is billed as an evening of movement, music and magic, and it works by bringing together the calm of yoga, the beauty of live strings and the atmosphere of a landmark Portsmouth location.
On the mat, you'll move through a flowing vinyasa sequence, breathwork, asana and meditation. The string quartet plays throughout, and the audience gets to curate the playlist, so the music follows the room rather than the other way around. It's pitched as a full mind-body experience, and the organisers say it's suitable for seasoned yogis and newcomers alike, so you don't need to be flexible or have a regular practice to join in.

The brewery is on Rodney Road, PO4 8SS, and the whole thing runs for a little over two hours, from 6:45pm to 9:00pm. Spaces are limited, and a yoga mat is the only thing you need to bring.
