A gentle, creative session for adults to explore memories of Victoria Park through art, as part of the Heritage Open Days 'Everyday Histories' theme.
Mindful Art In The Park is holding a session at The Greenhouse in Victoria Park on Wednesday 16 September, from 11:30 to 13:30. It's a gentle, creative space for adults to slow down, breathe, and make art in a calming natural setting. The Greenhouse is tucked away in the park on Anglesea Road, surrounded by trees, birdsong, and fresh air, and the sessions are designed to help you reduce stress, reconnect with yourself, and enjoy some quiet creativity within the community.
There's no experience needed, no pressure to produce anything in particular, and you don't need to bring your own materials — everything is provided, along with refreshments and a supportive atmosphere. The session on September 16th is titled Memories of Victoria Park, part of the Heritage Open Days 'Everyday Histories' theme. It asks you to reflect on what Victoria Park means to you, share memories of time spent there, and respond creatively to the park's history, its people, and its changing landscape. The stories and ideas gathered during the workshop may contribute to future creative projects celebrating the park's heritage.
