Adults-only creative mindfulness sessions held midweek at Victoria Park's Greenhouse, focusing on slowing down and connecting with nature.
Mindful Art in the Park runs every Wednesday morning at The Greenhouse in Victoria Park, a midweek pause for adults in Portsmouth. It's run by Think Big Do Bigger CIC, and the sessions are built around slowing down, connecting with nature, and expressing yourself in a calm, supportive space. The focus is on the process of creating rather than the finished artwork, so you don't need any prior experience or artistic skill to join in.
Inside the Greenhouse, you'll find simple materials and optional prompts to help you notice the present moment. There's no expectation to talk, share personal experiences, or complete a specific task, which makes it a low-pressure way to spend a morning. When the weather is good, the activities move outdoors into the park, so you can work with the greenery right around you. The sessions are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Beyond these drop-ins, Think Big Do Bigger also delivers bespoke mindful art sessions for workplaces, community groups, and private events, so this is just one part of what they do. The Greenhouse is located in Victoria Park on Anglesea Road, PO1 3HJ.
