Yaelokre, a minstrel and storybook illustrator from the Philippines, performs folk music inspired by plays and fairytales, with support from Ben Caplan and Keath Ósk.
Yaelokre plays the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, with Ben Caplan and Keath Ósk joining them on the bill. It's a folk night in the middle of the week, and the lineup brings together three distinct voices under one roof.
If you're not familiar with Yaelokre, they're a minstrel and storybook illustrator who warbles fable by song, drawing inspiration from plays and fairytales. Their work centers on a world they call Meadowlark, which springs from the magic of a forgotten field and the four cradles, The Harkers. The project sits squarely in the folk genre, and Yaelokre hails from Manila in the Philippines.
Sharing the stage are Ben Caplan and Keath Ósk, so the evening will be a full bill of folk-leaning music rather than a single act. Between the three of them, there's enough on the program to fill the night.
