Tasting flight of three wines from Le Grappin, a new name in Burgundy, as part of a monthly series.
Négociant is hosting another Wine Wednesday on Wednesday, October 28, and this time the spotlight is on Le Grappin, a new name in Burgundy. The evening is built around a tasting flight of three wines from the producer, so you get to work your way through a small selection rather than just one glass. It's part of the shop's monthly series, which means if you're into these mid-week tastings, there's usually another one on the calendar not far behind.
If you're not familiar with the region, Burgundy is one of the big names in the wine world, and Le Grappin is one of the newer arrivals on that scene. A tasting flight is a good way to get a feel for a producer you haven't tried before, especially when you can compare three different bottles side by side. You'll be tasting them at Négociant, over on NW 21st Ave in Portland, so it's easy to drop in after work.

The tasting runs from 5 PM to 8 PM, which gives you a three-hour window to come and go as you please. You don't have to be there right at the start to get the full flight, and you can hang out for a while if you're in the mood. It's a casual, mid-week thing, so it works whether you're stopping in for a quick glass or settling in for the whole flight. If you've been following the Wine Wednesday series, this is the October installment, with Le Grappin taking center stage.
