A 21+ winter beer and cider festival with 40+ regional taps, vinyl DJs, and the 75-foot tree at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The Portland Holiday Brew Fest returns to Pioneer Courthouse Square on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12. It's a 21+ event, so you'll need your ID. The festival runs under heated outdoor tents right beside the square's giant lighted tree, with more than 40 winter regional beers and ciders on tap and vinyl DJs playing throughout.
If you're coming from out of town or just want to cut down on plastic, the organizers encourage you to bring your own stein or mug. It's a simple way to keep the waste down while you work your way through the taps.
The square is the center of the city's holiday season. On Friday, November 27, it hosts the tree-lighting ceremony, a community sing-along with Santa flipping the switch. Nearby, the Winter Wonderland light show at Portland International Raceway runs nightly through December 31, so you can easily pair the brew fest with a trip to see the lights.

On Friday, December 11, the fest runs from 5:30 PM to 10 PM. On Saturday, December 12, it's open from 12 PM to 10 PM. The taps close at 9:30 PM both nights, so if you're planning a late one, make sure you've got your last pour in before then.
