A wine club release event at Négociant where members can taste and collect selected wines from independent producers.
Négociant is hosting its October Wine Club release on Thursday, October 15, from 4 to 7 PM. It's a straightforward afternoon: the month's club releases are made available for collection, and members can taste through them with the shop's wine steward, Hopper.
If you're not a member, you can still come in and taste for $25. The whole point of the Wine Club is that Hopper curates a rotating selection of wines from his favorite independent producers to pour each week, and the monthly releases are the bottles that make the cut. When they drop, members can pick them up and sample them right there in the shop.
Négociant is a wine shop on NW 21st Ave in Portland, and the steward-led tastings are a regular part of what they do. Beyond the monthly releases, the shop runs 'Friday Feature Pours' every Friday from 3 PM until close, when Hopper pours fun selections from the cellar. If you're already in the neighborhood on a Friday, that's another way to see what's coming through the door.
