Emma Willmann is performing at Helium Comedy Club in Portland from Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18. She's a stand-up comedian, actress, and podcaster originally from Blue Hill, Maine, and these three nights give you a few different windows to catch her set.
If you haven't come across her yet, she's worked across a few different worlds. She was part of the inaugural season of Netflix's The Lineup and has appeared in CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Judd Apatow's Crashing, and The Good Fight on Paramount+. She's also made several appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In the comedy world, she's a regular at New York City's Comedy Cellar, and she describes her stand-up as fun, high-energy, and silly, with a stage presence she builds on warmth and unflinching honesty.

These shows are in The Neon Room, Helium's intimate room, which changes the vibe a bit from the main stage. It's a smaller space, so you're closer to the performance. There are two things to keep in mind before you head in: all shows in The Neon Room are 21+, and there's a two-item minimum in the showroom. If you're planning your weekend, that means you'll want to bring your ID and be ready to order a couple of drinks or snacks while you watch. With three nights on the bill, you've got a bit of flexibility on when to go.
