The Neon Room at Helium: Conor Janda

Conor Janda plays The Neon Room at Helium Comedy Club on Friday, October 9, at 9:45 PM. He's a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor whose work pulls from two different places: the neuroses of a New York transplant and the fiery spirit of a Philadelphia native. He was named a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and has worked as a writer and actor on the Gag, Comedy Central's queer digital channel.

His stand-up covers a wide range of ground. He talks about life as a stay-at-home dad, attending an all-boys Catholic school, and getting sober from alcohol. When he isn't touring, he's the co-creator, writer, and star of the web series BOYS CLUB alongside collaborator Nico Carney, which was originally developed with Imagine Entertainment and Scott King.

The show is in The Neon Room, the club's intimate room, and all shows there are 21+. It's at 1510 SE 9th Avenue in Portland, starting at 9:45 PM on Friday, October 9.
